![]() CUIP the Chicago public schools | University of chicago Internet Project is an outreach effort of the university of chicago to enhance teaching and learning in 26 chicago public schools through the use of technology. to those efforts, nsp students work directly with teachers, students, and tech coordinators to embed technology into the classroom and to assist with tech support. Gear Up Alliance the Chicago Gear Up Alliance was formed to increase the number of students graduating and going on to post-secondary education by effecting positive whole-school, systemic change in chicago public schools. the alliance works with schools, teachers, students and parents in order to improve achievement levels, improve classroom instruction and increase awareness of the possibility of post-secondary education. ![]() AmeriCorps VISTA for 35 years, AmeriCorps VISTA has been helping bring communities and individuals out of poverty. today, nearly 6,000 AmeriCorps VISTA members serve in hundreds of nonprofit organizations and public agencies throughout the country -- working to fight illiteracy, improving health services, creating businesses, increasing housing opportunities, or bridging the digital divide. |
