Brandi Snodgrass

Director, Neighborhood School Partnerships

As Director of Neighborhood Schools Partnerships, Brandi is responsible for more than 50 partnerships with K-12 schools, community centers, and government offices on the South Side. Within her role, Brandi serves as a key member of the Student Civic Engagement team, which helps to coordinate the development and stewardship of the Office of Civic Engagement approach to student engagement programming across campus. Brandi oversees the recruitment, training, and support of 350 to 500 University student employees and volunteers who engage with community partner schools and community organizations through NSP.

For more than a decade, Brandi has worked with youth in Chicago-based, nonprofit organizations, Target H.O.P.E. and Future Leaders of Chicago. which focused on college access and preparedness for underrepresented students across the city. Along with programmatic development, she has a passion for student development, college access, and admissions. Brandi returned to the Neighborhood Schools Program in 2018, after having worked for NSP early in her career.  Prior to rejoining the Office of Civic Engagement, Brandi was the Assistant Director of Admissions for the Evening & Weekend MBA Program at Kellogg School of Management.

Brandi was awarded the Staff Service Award from the University of Chicago in 2016 for her campus engagement and was nominated as a finalist for Kellogg School of Management's Staff Excellence Award in 2017 for her efforts around diversity and inclusion at the institution.
 
Brandi earned a bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Missouri - Columbia and a master's degree in Communication from Northwestern University.
