Project Manager, Commercial Real Estate Operations
Rufus T. Pulphus serves as a Project Manager in the University of Chicago Commercial Real Estate Operations (CREO) Department. Mr. Pulphus joined the CREO department in September 2023, bringing 20 years of experience in the construction industry. His work includes managing all aspects of commercial real estate through the contract award process. He is also responsible for overseeing construction/property management, budgeting, scheduling, safety oversight, scope development and contract administration on projects all while maintaining a good relationship with clients, general contractors as well as trade subcontractors. He has been spearheading the design and construction of new turnkey restaurants managed by CREO.

Prior to joining CREO, Mr. Pulphus worked as a Senior Project Manager at BOWA Construction as well as Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction, assisting to set in motion projects totaling more than $200 million in costs. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
